1. All ladder communication is done via e-mail, so please check your e-mail often.

2. The ladder was started the 4th of July of 2005. The initial ranking of players on the ladder was set up by the administrators.

3. Anyone on the Tennis Ladder may challenge anyone else on the ladder, up to and including 15 rows above the challenger position.

4. New players can join the ladder at any moment. When you join the ladder, you may challenge any player at any position on the ladder up to 80% from the top for your first challenge. Chose very carefully whom you challenge since after this unique opportunity, you may only challenge players up to and including 15 rows above your position. If you lose the first challenge, you will be at the bottom of the ladder.

5. New players, that have not played or initiated a challenge 1 month after signing for the first time, will be eliminated from the ladder.

6.- After a challenge has been issued, you have 7 days to play the match and to register the game results. However, if you have not received a response from the challenged player (challengee) after 3 days, or the challengee cannot play, you may register a 0-0 result. This is the same as a challengee forfeit and you get the game.

7.- Every two months, players that have not played in the previous two months, will be eliminated from the ladder.

VERY IMPORTANT In the ranking page, by the position of each player, you can click on "INFO" to get contact information. As many email service providers are using anti-spam software, we are having problems that other players do not receive the emails you send to arrange a game. Thus, it is important that you add a contact phone number to your "info" section. You may add additional information like days of the week or time of day that you prefer to play. TO ADD THE "INFO", GO TO THE "OPTIONS" MENU AND CLICK ON THE FIRST OPTION "CHANGE EMAIL AND CONTACT DETAILS". YOU WILL BE PRESENTED A WINDOW TO ADD YOUR INFO.

You will have noticed a points score appear next to player names on the rankings page (if logged in). This is a trial points rating system based on the classic Elo system. Players will be awarded points for winning and lose points for losing depending on how difficult the system calculates your opponent to be. It will take a few games to settle down the scoring system. Currently the rating is displayed for information purposes only but in future it will be possible to arrange the ladder ranking system around this points score.
